How does the Pint Converter work?
Both units are converted through volume's base unit (L), so any of the 19 units in the dropdowns can be paired in either direction without loss of accuracy.
The constants come from the SI brochure and the 1959 international yard-and-pound agreement. For quantities defined empirically rather than by treaty, the current CODATA or IAU value is used instead.

Pints: US and imperial
The US pint (473.176473 mL) and the UK imperial pint (568.26125 mL) differ by about 20%. The UK pint is genuinely larger, which is why a British pint of beer looks noticeably bigger than an American one, not because of some difference in glassware.
