What the Working Capital Calculator does

Working Capital Calculator: calculates Working Capital, Current Ratio and Liquidity from Current Assets and Current Liabilities. Example: current assets 800000 ₹ and current liabilities 500000 ₹ gives working capital ₹3,00,000.00.

The inputs are Current Assets and Current Liabilities; the output is Working Capital, Current Ratio and Liquidity. There is no submit step; the numbers move as you adjust them.

It is mostly used by people planning a budget. Lenders present the same deal in different ways, so a like-for-like number is worth having.

Everything happens inside this page. Nothing you type is sent to a server, and there is nothing for us to store.

The field reference, the method and a worked example using the default inputs follow the tool itself.

What do the Working Capital Calculator fields mean?

The Working Capital Calculator uses 2 inputs. The starting figures are ordinary, not edge cases, so they make a sensible baseline.

FieldWhat to enterDefault
Current Assets measured in ₹; accepts 0 to 1000000000 800000
Current Liabilities measured in ₹; accepts 0 to 1000000000 500000

How does the Working Capital Calculator work?

Working Capital, Current Ratio and Liquidity ← f(Current Assets, Current Liabilities)

Each output is derived from the inputs above in a single pass; there is no hidden state carried between runs, so the same inputs always give the same calculation.

Inputs are validated before anything is computed, so a bad entry is reported rather than quietly producing a wrong answer.

Worked example

These are the values the Working Capital Calculator loads by default, and the result it produces from them. The defaults produce the result shown here; change any of them and the answer moves.

Inputs
Current Assets800000 ₹
Current Liabilities500000 ₹
Result
Working Capital₹3,00,000.00
Current Ratio1.60
LiquidityHealthy

How to use it

  1. Key in Current Assets in ₹ (0 to 1000000000).
  2. Fill in Current Liabilities in ₹ (0 to 1000000000).
  3. There is nothing to click. The answer keeps pace with your edits.
  4. Read Working Capital, Current Ratio and Liquidity in the results panel.
  5. If you need a record, Copy Link saves the inputs and Print produces a clean page.

What this tool does not do

  • Rates are treated as fixed for the whole term; a floating rate will change the outcome.
  • Fees, processing charges and taxes are not included unless there is a field for them.
  • Values outside the documented ranges are rejected rather than approximated.
  • A plausible-looking answer from the wrong input is still the wrong answer: verify the fields first.

Frequently asked questions

Enter Current Assets in ₹ and Current Liabilities in ₹. Each field states its unit next to the input, and outputs are labelled the same way.

Current Assets accepts 0 to 1000000000 ₹. The range is enforced before the calculation runs, so a bad entry never reaches the formula.

With the values loaded when the page opens, working capital comes out as ₹3,00,000.00. Edit any input and that figure moves with it.

No: there is no server involved. Close the tab and the values are gone.

No cost and no account. Use it as often as you like.

Accurate for the formula described. Treat the output as a well-informed estimate rather than a quote, since providers apply their own charges and rounding.
