What the IRR Calculator does

IRR Calculator: calculates IRR % and NPV @ 10% from Initial Investment, Annual Cash Flow and Years. Example: initial investment 100000 ₹, annual cash flow 30000 ₹ and years 5 gives IRR % 15.24%.

IRR % and NPV @ 10%, derived from Initial Investment, Annual Cash Flow and Years. Results refresh instantly, so trying variations costs nothing but a moment.

Seeing the total cost, not just the monthly figure, is what usually changes decisions. That is usually what brings someone checking a lender quote here.

This runs client-side, which means we never receive what you enter and could not retrieve it if asked.

If you want to check the arithmetic, the field table, the method and a worked example are further down.

What do the IRR Calculator fields mean?

The IRR Calculator uses 3 inputs. A complete set of starting values is loaded for you, so nothing is required before the first result appears.

FieldWhat to enterDefault
Initial Investment measured in ₹; accepts 1 to 100000000 100000
Annual Cash Flow measured in ₹; accepts -10000000 to 100000000 30000
Years accepts 1 to 40 5

How does the IRR Calculator work?

IRR % and NPV @ 10% ← f(Initial Investment, Annual Cash Flow, Years)

Each output is derived from the inputs above in a single pass; there is no hidden state carried between runs, so the same inputs always give the same calculation.

Nothing is computed until the inputs pass their checks, so you will not get a confident answer built on a typo.

Worked example

These are the values the IRR Calculator loads by default, and the result it produces from them. This walkthrough uses the starting values, which means you can follow along without typing anything.

What this tool does not do

  • Fees, processing charges and taxes are not included unless there is a field for them.
  • Lender rounding conventions differ, so your statement may vary by small amounts.
  • It does not account for anything you did not enter, by definition.
  • The tool cannot tell whether a number was entered in the unit you intended, so double-check the labels.

Frequently asked questions

Enter Initial Investment in ₹ and Annual Cash Flow in ₹. The unit is shown beside each box, and the result carries its own label, so there is nothing to convert by hand.

Initial Investment accepts 1 to 100000000 ₹. If a value falls outside, the tool says which field is at fault instead of guessing.

With the values loaded when the page opens, IRR % comes out as 15.24%. Change a value and the number is recomputed on the spot.

Nothing is stored. The page has no back end to send data to, and holds your input only in memory.

It is free to use, with no premium tier holding back the useful parts.

The calculation is precise; the assumptions are yours. Change one input and you will see how sensitive the result is, which is usually the more useful insight.
