What the Cash Flow Calculator does

Cash Flow Calculator: calculates Net Cash Flow, Closing Cash and Status from Cash Inflows, Cash Outflows and Opening Cash. Example: cash inflows 200000 ₹, cash outflows 150000 ₹ and opening cash 50000 ₹ gives net cash flow ₹50,000.00.

The inputs are Cash Inflows, Cash Outflows and Opening Cash; the output is Net Cash Flow, Closing Cash and Status. Everything recomputes live, which makes it easy to test a few scenarios in a row.

A quote sounds reasonable until you total the interest over the full term. The Cash Flow Calculator exists to take that particular chore off your hands.

There is no back end here. The calculation runs where you are sitting, not on a server somewhere.

The field reference, the method and a worked example using the default inputs follow the tool itself.

What do the Cash Flow Calculator fields mean?

The Cash Flow Calculator uses 3 inputs. The fields arrive populated, which makes it easy to nudge a single figure and watch what moves.

FieldWhat to enterDefault
Cash Inflows measured in ₹; accepts 0 to 1000000000 200000
Cash Outflows measured in ₹; accepts 0 to 1000000000 150000
Opening Cash measured in ₹; accepts 0 to 1000000000 50000

How does the Cash Flow Calculator work?

Net Cash Flow, Closing Cash and Status ← f(Cash Inflows, Cash Outflows, Opening Cash)

Each output is derived from the inputs above in a single pass; there is no hidden state carried between runs, so the same inputs always give the same calculation.

If something is off you are told which field, not given a generic failure.

Worked example

These are the values the Cash Flow Calculator loads by default, and the result it produces from them. The numbers below come straight from the default inputs, so you can verify them against the live tool.

Cash Outflows150000 ₹
Opening Cash50000 ₹
Result

How to use it

  1. Key in Cash Inflows in ₹ (0 to 1000000000).
  2. Fill in Cash Outflows in ₹ (0 to 1000000000).
  3. Type Opening Cash in ₹ (0 to 1000000000).
  4. There is nothing to click. The answer keeps pace with your edits.
  5. Read Net Cash Flow, Closing Cash and Status in the results panel.
  6. To keep the result, either copy the link or print the page. Both preserve what is on screen.

What this tool does not do

  • Rates are treated as fixed for the whole term; a floating rate will change the outcome.
  • Fees, processing charges and taxes are not included unless there is a field for them.
  • Edge cases at the very limits of the accepted range are handled, but rarely worth relying on.
  • A plausible-looking answer from the wrong input is still the wrong answer: verify the fields first.

Frequently asked questions

Enter Cash Inflows in ₹, Cash Outflows in ₹ and Opening Cash in ₹. Each field states its unit next to the input, and outputs are labelled the same way.

Cash Inflows accepts 0 to 1000000000 ₹. The range is enforced before the calculation runs, so a bad entry never reaches the formula.

With the values loaded when the page opens, net cash flow comes out as ₹50,000.00. Try changing one value. The answer refreshes without a page reload.

No. Disconnect from the internet and it still works; that is the simplest proof there is no server call.

It is free with no conditions: no sign-up, and no limit on how often you use it.

Accurate arithmetic, indicative answer. It is at its most useful when you run it two or three times to see which input the result is genuinely sensitive to.
